Creating an Audiobook
Audiobooks are increasingly popular and so it seemed an easy decision to take my most popular Western historical romance and create an audiobook.
The most crucial element and creating an audiobook is the narrator’s voice. Luckily, I worked with a very talented male narrator for my Western Christmas novella series. I’m very pleased that he was available for this project, and I am adding a female narrator to create a duet.
Many romance book listeners will know this term, which refers to having a male narrator read the portions of the story told from the hero’s point of view and a female narrator reading the sections written in the heroine’s point of view.
My male narrator has a beautiful low gravelly voice that I find very compelling. The female narrator has the right amount of gumption to pull off this particular heroine. I’m super impressed with their narration skills but also with their acting ability. These talented folks really bring emotion to the story and make it come alive.
One final consideration was the listener reviews and ratings these narrators received on other projects. I can assure you that listeners love this pair and really respond positively to their amazing performances.
Winter Woman goes into production this September and I cannot wait to share this telling of Winter Woman with my fans.
