Freezing Florida

No one wants to hear someone living in Florida complain about the cold weather. But sometimes we still do. For the first time in many years, I had some plants nipped by frost and had to carry all those potted plants into the garage.

Worst of all, I had to close the windows and put on the heat! Heaven forbid!

On the positive side, it is lovely to have a fire in the much unused fireplace and dig the hot cocoa out of the cabinet.

Another happy occurrence, in cold weather, is I tuck in to my computer in my office, with a lap blanket and a cup of hot coffee. Then I go to work feeling cozy and invigorated.

The frost, work-ethic and fire won’t last because we are forecast to have our usual 70 degree days later on in the week.
