Happy New Year 2021
Last year I gathered with crowds in downtown Sarasota, Florida. It was so warm, I didn’t even need a coat. That is a far cry from the New Year’s celebrations in New York that always involved frostbite and fireworks.
This year, there are no crowds and my social network for gatherings has reduced to two. But we will sit outside and light a fire, toast marshmallows and the new year with hope and optimism that we will get through the dark days ahead and emerge to a changed world, but one where hugging is allowed and sharing a meal with friends is no longer a safety hazard.
Where ever and however you celebrate, I hope you are happy and safe and well.
